Requirements For Support Workers To Be Part of Young Heroes

  • Relevant Qualifications and Experience

Qualification or Certificates in disability, health, allied health or teaching. University students in these fields with at least 1 year into their degree are also eligible.

OR

Minimum 1 Year experience working with children, young adults, or individuals with disabilities is essential.

  • ABN (Australia Business Number)
  • Working with Children Check (Your State Equivalent)
  • First Aid and CPR Certifications
  • Public Liability and Personal Indemnity Insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Car Drivers Licence and Insurance (If providing transport)
  • Proof of Rights to Work in Australia
  • Professional References

At least two professional references from previous employers, supervisors, or clients who can attest to your experience and reliability in working with children or individuals with special needs.

Health field qualifications or university students need to provide professional references from any previous work.
